Queen's Gambit

title sequence

This is a recreation of the title sequence of the famous show, Queen’s Gambit. I captured live footage of the chessboard and added effects to it such smoke and particles, to create a dramatic mood. To add more emphasis to the scenes, I used intense lighting and mysterious background music.

PROCESS

I used a Green Screen for my footages so that I could add background of my choice. Moreover, to add motion to the chess pieces, I utilized a metal wire, which I later masked using After Effects.
